مجموعة Hacktivist المجهولة المسؤولة عن الهجمات على الهجمات الالكترونية على البنتاغون، نيوزقروب، وغيرهم تعهدت بتدمير الفيسبوك فى الخامس من نوفمبر. مشيرة الى مخاوف الخصوصية وصعوبة المشاركة في حذف حساب فيسبوك، تامل المجموعة فى "قتل الفيسبوك" الذى "هو وسيلة التواصل التى نعشقها جمعيا". وهذه ليست المرة الاولى التى تتحدث فيها المجموعة عن هجمات ضد الشبكات الاجتماعية. فبعد ان ازال قوقل حساب الجى ميل و حساب قوقل بلس للمجموعة تعهدت المجموعة بانشاء شبكتها الاجتماعية الخاصة والتى ستسمى (AnonPlus). النص الكامل لهذا الاعلان ، على موقع يوتيوب والتي أبلغ عنها(Village Voice)، هي التالية :
